The age-old question, Can men and women be friends? Some say yes and some say no. To be honest in my experience, one usually likes the other, even if they refuse to admit it. One is in hope that the friendship will turn into something more. They are patient for a while but when hope is gone they usually end up not being friends at all. Although this is not always the case. I can only imagine how hard it would be to only be friends with someone you have passionate feelings for. Whether a man and woman can be friends or not, that’s not going to stop them from trying. I think we all desperately want to marry our best friend anyway, right? Though this book is written for friends of the opposite sex, you can apply the principles to any friendship. They will still work. In fact, in the chapter, Doses of Disappointment, I talk about how I got stabbed in the back by a female friend. For those of you who are single, waiting, pursuing, or dating, don’t skip over the friendship stage to jump ahead to the romantic stage.
